Article Icon 1Water Conservation Urged

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division issued a statewide Level 1 drought alert, triggering public information campaigns about current conditions and the need for water conservation.

There are no new restrictions on lawn watering and outdoor water use. Level 1 is the lowest tier in the state’s multi-level drought response system.

Recent rains are expected to provide modest improvements in drought conditions. The state will continue to track rainfall, stream flows, reservoir levels, and soil moisture to determine whether a change in response level is warranted.

Under Level 1, water utilities launch public information campaigns—bill inserts, social media posts, newspaper ads, and library notices—to encourage conservation steps such as fixing leaks, limiting unnecessary water use, and installing water-efficient fixtures and appliances.

More details emerged about last week’s Delta flight out of Atlanta that delivered an extra special passenger: a baby girl born mid-flight.

Airline passengers Tina Fritz and Kaarin Powell, two paramedics returning home from a Caribbean vacation, assisted when Ashley Blair went into labor about 30 minutes before landing on Friday.

Blair, who lives in Tennessee, was flying to Portland, Oregon, to be with her mother for the birth. The baby, Brielle Renee Blair, arrived two weeks ahead of schedule.

The baby was delivered just as the Boeing 737’s wheels touched the runway, and emergency responders met mom and daughter at the gate.

Atlanta-based Delta thanked the quick work of “the medical volunteers on board,” who borrowed blankets from fellow passengers and used a shoelace to tie off the umbilical cord.

Article Icon 1Rookie Helps Propel Braves

The Atlanta Braves opened a three-game series against Detroit on Tuesday night, tied for Major League Baseball’s best record and buoyed by the emergence of rookie pitcher JR Ritchie.

Last week, Ritchie posted one of the best debuts by a pitcher in franchise history, allowing two runs and striking out seven over seven innings. Some baseball analysts view the 22-year-old as the next in the long line of Atlanta’s elite pitchers.

At 20-9 entering the series, Atlanta shared the best record in Major League Baseball, a hot start built on strong pitching and a lineup that keeps delivering runs.

On Tuesday night, the Braves moved to 21-9 with a 5-2 win over the Tigers. You can see video highlights of the game here.

One Shark Missed Billions… Another Saw This Coming

Imagine turning down an Uber offer at a $10 million valuation, only to see it go public at over $80 billion.

That’s exactly what happened to Mark Cuban… a 799,900% return, gone.

But original Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington built his career doing the opposite: spotting asymmetric opportunities before they go mainstream.

Like Uber turned vehicles into income-generating assets, Mode Mobile is turning smartphones into income streams.

They were named the No. 1 fastest-growing software company by Deloitte and have already helped their users earn and save over $1B.

Kevin Harrington invested early.

And at just $0.50/share, you can still get in before their potential IPO.

Secure shares at $0.50 while the pre-IPO window is still open.
