Article Icon 1Marjorie Taylor Greene to Lead Cost Cutting Committee

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been appointed to lead a new subcommittee under the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability to collaborate with President-elect Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to address government waste and inefficiency.

Greene stated that the subcommittee will scrutinize government-funded programs and agencies, including government-funded media programs like NPR and international grants, as part of a broader effort to eliminate wasteful spending.

DOGE, led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, will be focused on reducing the national debt, balancing the budget, and implementing efficient governance practices.

Greene dismissed concerns about cuts to Social Security, instead asserting that the subcommittee will focus on independent agencies and bureaucratic inefficiencies to ensure taxpayer money is managed responsibly and transparently.

Article Icon 1Ballot Audit Upholds Accuracy of QR Codes

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the results of a ballot image audit that reviewed 5,297,262 ballot images from Dominion Voting System tabulators used during the 2024 General Election.

The audit found zero differences between the human-readable text and QR codes on machine-marked ballots, although it identified 87 discrepancies across all ballots, representing 0.001642% of the total, mostly from hand-marked ballots.

The audit, which examined every ballot cast in all 1,955 contests in Georgia’s 159 counties, confirmed the QR codes’ 100% accuracy.

State legislation passed earlier this year eliminates QR codes from ballots in future election cycles following concerns about voter confusion. However, Raffensperger reiterated that the audit demonstrates the system’s reliability and trustworthiness.

Dear Georgia Flyover Reader,

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope your day is filled with family, food, and football—and I hope you take a little time to consider the blessings we enjoy in this great land.

Today, I’m thankful for turkey (the white meat, of course), for my two children (even when they act like turkeys; ever had a bow and arrow fired at your head during a Zoom call?), and for the freedom to enjoy it all.

Here’s another one of mine: The demand in America for biased, elitist news media is dropping. MSNBC’s audience is down 39% since October, and Comcast has announced plans to spin the network off into a new company. (The new entity will be named… SpinCo. These things really do write themselves. :slightly_smiling_face:)

It’s a bright sign for America’s future that folks are ditching the propaganda factories, and I want as many of those people as possible to join our movement for reliable news.

Here’s another thing I’m thankful for: over 100,000 of you have already joined The Georgia Flyover, and you’ve been telling your friends about us! I’m grateful for each of you.

Today, if The Georgia Flyover is on your list of things to be thankful for, would you consider making a donation? Your direct support is the best way to help us cover our costs, and it would mean a lot to me.
