Article Icon 1Trump Backs ICE Raid

President Trump voiced support for last week’s immigration raid at a Hyundai-LG battery plant in Ellabell, saying foreign-based companies must respect U.S. immigration laws.

In Georgia, Tori Branum, a Republican congressional candidate who lives in the Dublin area, said she tipped off U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents about the plant’s hiring practices.

Saying she was concerned the plant was not hiring Georgia workers, Branum rejected criticism of her actions. “Interesting how this works: I stand up for American workers … and suddenly my phone is blowing up… Nice try. I’m not backing down,” she said.

Trump called on foreign-based companies to do more to train U.S. workers. “We do have to work something out where we bring in experts so that our people can be trained so that they can do it themselves,” he said.

Georgia skies lit up overnight Sunday with the Corn Moon, this summer’s last full moon.

Adding to the show, millions of birds migrating south lit up weather radars in a nighttime display of nature’s flight path.

Meanwhile, weather watchers began tracking Tropical Storm Gabrielle, taking shape in the Atlantic. Forecasters are keeping an eye out for any shift toward the U.S., though Georgia faces a low risk for now.

The storm’s development marks an increase in hurricane activity typical for mid-September, and officials urge residents to check their emergency plans.

A full-scale exhibit featuring a museum-quality replica of the Shroud of Turin opened at Warren Church in Augusta, offering visitors a chance to explore one of Christianity’s most mysterious artifacts.

The exhibit, open through Sept. 14, includes replicas of Roman crucifixion tools, a 3D-printed first-century burial tomb, and dozens of historical panels that chronicle the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

Pastor David McKinley said the exhibit isn’t meant to prove the Shroud’s authenticity but to invite reflection on the historical roots of Christian faith.

Tours of the exhibit are free and open to the public and schools.

Former Zillow Exec Opens Door to $1.3T Market

Austin Allison sold his first company for $120M. He later served as an executive for Zillow. Both companies reached massive valuations before everyday investors could get in.

“I always wished everyday investors could have shared in their early success,” Allison later said. So he built Pacaso differently.

Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home market, earning $110M+ in gross profit in under five years. No wonder the same early investors who backed Uber, Venmo, and eBay already invested in Pacaso.

Now, after adding 10 new international destinations, Pacaso is hitting its stride. It even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

And unlike his previous ventures, you can invest in Pacaso as a private company. But you don’t have time to waste. Invest before Pacaso’s opportunity ends on Sept. 18.

This is a paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving the ticker is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.
