Article Icon 1Heat Dome to Bake State

Georgia is bracing for a heat wave set to arrive this weekend and continue into next week, with daily high temperatures expected to climb to near 100 degrees.

An intensifying heat dome will bring many cities their hottest temperatures of the summer, with heat index values reaching 105 in areas.

The American Red Cross recommends hydration, limiting time outdoors, and checking in on elderly or vulnerable neighbors.

Scattered storms could bring relief, but rain chances are slim.

Article Icon 1 Farms: Tomato Tariffs ‘Level Playing Field’

A new 17% U.S. tariff on tomatoes from Mexico is expected to increase the demand for American-grown tomatoes, potentially benefiting Georgia farmers.

Daniel Parson, lead farmer and educator at Emory University’s Oxford College Organic Farm, said tariffs could level the playing field, though ramping up production could take time.

Georgia isn’t currently one of the top states for growing tomatoes, a crop that requires significant labor, water, and disease-prevention efforts.

Currently, nearly 70% of the tomatoes sold in the U.S. are imported.

Article Icon 1Country Stores Among South’s Best

WorldAtlas named Betty’s Country Store in Helen one of the South’s best old-time general stores, praised for its fresh goods, homemade baked treats, and roadside charm.

Meanwhile, Old Sunrise Grocery in Blairsville caught the eye of Triathlete, which noted that the store—known for its boiled peanuts and mountain views—is a popular pit stop for cyclists.

Betty’s, founded in 1973, combines a full-service supermarket with small-town staples such as a candy shop. The store also displays a live beehive!

Analysts Project This Stock Could Reach $10 a Share. You Can Still Invest for $3.25 Per Unit.

Worksport’s stock recently hit $4.29 on the Nasdaq.

Some Wall Street analysts say it could reach $10.33 within a year—140% higher.

But you can still purchase units for $3.25.

It’s through an offer you won’t find on the Nasdaq.

Right now, they’re giving investors the chance to buy investment units at a fixed price of $3.25.

Each unit gives you one convertible preferred share (with an 8% dividend) and one warrant to purchase another common share.

That’s up to two shares.

And yes, you can buy the units at $3.25, immediately convert your preferred share, and then sell the converted common share.

The company has already made a name for itself selling truck covers. Every 100 dealers they sign represents millions of dollars in potential revenue, and their truck tonneau cover business has already signed more than 400 dealers, up 4X since the start of 2025.

They just announced a 50% production increase and 2X margin growth in the last five months.

Up next, a potential $13 billion market opportunity—that’s why we believe it’s an exciting moment for investors to invest.

Worksport is combining their solar truck covers with battery systems to launch a flagship mobile power system later this year. It can power everything from emergency response to construction sites to camping.
