Voter Registration Deadline Nears 

Georgians have until Monday to register to vote in the midterm elections, headlined by races for governor and U.S. Senate.

The state’s political parties launched final turnout pushes this week, with both Republicans and Democrats claiming high voter enthusiasm.

Residents can check their registration status and register online through the secretary of state’s My Voter Page.

Election Day is Nov. 3, and early voting begins Oct. 13 and runs through Oct. 30. You can check polling locations and hours on the My Voter Page website.

  Grad Rates Improve

Georgia’s public high school graduation rate reached a record 88.5% this past school year, state school superintendent Richard Woods said.

The rate rose from 87.2% the previous year and was the highest since federal calculation standards were adopted in 2011, when it was 67.4%.

Statewide, 147 districts posted rates of 90% or higher, and 69 topped 95%.

Savannah-Chatham schools climbed to 87.8%, with three campuses at 100%. Richmond County set a record for the third straight year at 84.2%.

Florida Georgia Line Reunites

Country music duo Florida Georgia Line will reunite in 2027 for the Anything Goes Again: The Festival Tour.

The 12-stop festival circuit will be the first tour for Monroe native Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley since they split in 2022. In June, the pair teased the planned reunion with a joint performance at CMA Fest.

A handful of dates are confirmed so far, including Stagecoach in California and Carolina Country Music Fest. No Georgia dates have been announced.

The duo will also headline the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2027 Concert for Legends on Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio.
