Atlanta is the first U.S. city to roll out e-bike sharing company Lime’s new LimeBike models aimed at improving comfort, accessibility, and safety.

Lime cited a 62% spike in Atlanta ridership since 2024 as one of the reasons for the launch in Georgia’s capital.

The bikes feature ergonomic upgrades, better storage, and new technology to appeal to a broader range of users.

Lime said its deeper investment in Atlanta follows the area’s emergence as one of the nation’s top places for e-bikes, scooters, and bicycles.

The historic Concord Road Covered Bridge in Cobb County began daytime closures through Thursday for emergency repairs after being struck by an over-height vehicle. The closures run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The bridge, built in the mid-1800s, is Georgia’s busiest covered bridge that is still open to vehicles and has been hit dozens of times in recent years.

In late April, a car carrier struck a protective beam at one of the entrances to the bridge.
