Tree clearing continues along Georgia 400 from Sandy Springs to Forsyth County as crews prepare for the start of construction on a $4.6 billion widening and toll lane project, expected to take six years to complete.

Heavy construction will begin next summer. The project will add express toll lanes in both directions over 16 miles, aiming to reduce congestion, speed travel times, and expand transit options.

The project also includes upgrades to MARTA’s planned bus rapid transit system.

Anyone with a Peach Pass will be able to use the new lanes, which will feature variable toll pricing and operate similarly to existing express lanes on Interstates 75, 85, and 285.

University of Georgia backup offensive lineman Nyier Daniels was arrested Sunday in Commerce after leading police on a high-speed chase that reached 150 mph with his younger siblings in the car.

Daniels’ mother was also arrested for allegedly interfering in the chase using a separate vehicle.

On Monday, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said Daniels was dismissed from the team.

Daniels, a top recruit out of Newark, New Jersey, played in the Bulldogs’ win over Charlotte on Saturday. He faces three felony charges, including fleeing police and two counts of second-degree child cruelty, along with misdemeanor violations.

The Atlanta Falcons’ 24-10 road win over New Orleans on Sunday ended the team’s five-game losing streak, with the team benefiting from a strong pass rush and steady performance from quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Cousins, starting in place of the injured Michael Penix Jr., threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns while operating in a revamped offensive scheme.

Atlanta sacked Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough five times and held New Orleans to three offensive points.

The win moved the Falcons to 4–7 on the season.

Children are hungry. Let’s change that.

Food.

For those of us who have enough, it’s an easy need to fill. But millions of children go hungry. Their bodies can’t develop, much less their minds. They need a miracle.

You can be their miracle. Your compassionate gift of $30 brings a nutritious meal to three children every school day for one month.

Anita knew hunger firsthand. She loves to sing and aspires to a career in the music industry. She wants to do well in school, but hunger used to distract her and hold her back. That was before Convoy of Hope came to her village in Nepal.

“My family and I didn’t trust outside organizations, because they would leave after a short period of time,” Anita remembers. “But Convoy has done so much. They didn’t just give us food; they taught us to grow it ourselves.”

Many children are going to bed hungry tonight.

But you can change that.

You give. Convoy delivers. And hundreds of thousands of children are fed.
