Question: Which U.S. President had a tree named after him on the 17th hole at Augusta National Golf Club?

Answer: Dwight D. Eisenhower. The 34th President became a member at Augusta in 1948 and frequented the course during his two terms. He suggested the tree be cut down to make that section of the golf course less challenging, thus creating the “Eisenhower Tree” name. In 2014, an ice storm caused extensive damage to the tree and forced its removal.
