Answer: Never. The United States has hosted the men’s FIFA World Cup on one occasion in 1994. That year, the men’s FIFA World Cup was hosted at nine venues across the country in the following cities: Pasadena, CA, Stanford, CA, Pontiac, MI, East Rutherford, N.J., Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Orlando, FL, Foxborough, Mass., and Washington, D.C. This summer 2026, will be the first time that Atlanta will be a host city for the high profile sports event which will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
