Article Icon 1Ethics Panel Dismisses Complaint

Georgia’s State Ethics Commission dismissed a complaint against Lt. Gov. Burt Jones over a $10 million loan he gave to his gubernatorial campaign.

The complaint was filed by state Attorney General Chris Carr, who is one of Jones’ rivals in the 2026 GOP primary for governor.

A Carr spokesperson said Carr “respectfully” disagrees with the decision, while a Jones spokesperson said the complaint was a “pathetic cry for attention.”

Article Icon 1 Beck: ‘Just Time to Start Something New’

Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck said he transferred to Miami for the upcoming season because he viewed Miami as a better offensive fit and it was “just time to start something new.”

Beck’s departure opens the door for Gunner Stockton to possibly take over as starting quarterback. Stockton attended last week’s SEC Media Days, but Georgia coach Kirby Smart said he does not plan to name a starting quarterback just yet.

Meanwhile, two other Georgia players are in the spotlight for reasons other than their football skills: Chace Calicut, charged with aggravated assault in a July 6 road-rage incident in Houston, and Jahzare Jackson, arrested on felony marijuana charges.

From luxury escapes to backwoods retreats, lakes in Georgia offer a great way to unwind, and several of them made Southern Living’s list of 18 Lakes Across The South for a Restful Weekend Away.

Lake Oconee drew praise for offering luxury and championship golf, while Lake Lanier Islands is celebrated as a popular destination for large groups.

Pine Mountain’s lakes and gardens and Lake Rabun’s old-school fun and cabin rentals are also highlighted.

What if you could reduce the appearance of wrinkles, smooth out cellulite, and promote stronger hair, skin, and nails by adding two simple scoops to your morning coffee?

It’s not just a dream. It’s what thousands of women over 40 are now experiencing thanks to Sculpt Nation’s Multi-Collagen Protein Powder—a 5-in-1 anti-aging blend made from premium sources of Types I, II, and III collagen, horsetail fern, and bamboo extract.

Collagen is your body’s natural building block for skin elasticity, hair strength, and joint health. But after age 30, collagen production plummets, leading to sagging skin, brittle nails, and thinning hair.

This unflavored formula makes it effortless to support your skin, joints, and hair from within. There are no pills or fancy treatments, just two scoops mixed into your favorite beverage, hot or cold. You won’t taste a thing, but you may start feeling the difference in as little as two weeks.

It’s the beauty ritual women are calling their daily glow-up.
