An active-duty U.S. Army sergeant opened fire Wednesday morning at Fort Stewart, wounding five fellow soldiers before he was subdued by other soldiers and taken into custody, authorities said.

Three of the wounded were transported to a trauma center in Savannah. All are expected to survive.

Authorities identified the suspect as Sgt. Quornelius Radford, 28. An investigation continues into the motive.

The shooting took place in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area and prompted a base-wide lockdown for about an hour.

Violent crime in Georgia fell 10.5% in 2024, outpacing a 4.5% nationwide decline, according to FBI data released on Tuesday.

Property crime in the state was down 10%.

While the decline continued a dropoff from a pandemic-era rise in crime, “any violent crime is unacceptable, and everyone deserves to feel safe and secure in the community and their homes,” FBI Special Agent Paul Brown said.

FBI officials credited the decline in part to coordinated efforts between federal, state, and local agencies.

Skate Along USA, a staple in Lilburn for over 40 years, will permanently close on August 24.

The owners of the roller skating rink called the upcoming closure  “the end of an era for us” and thanked generations of skaters for their support.

The news touched off a wave of nostalgia, with former patrons reminiscing about school skate nights, birthday parties, and first jobs.

The rink will open for weekend skates and adult nights through its final day.

In a study involving 674 women with deep wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark spots, researchers found that using this simple technique in front of the mirror each day led to dramatic improvements in appearance within just a few weeks.

What’s more shocking? This unusual method has been shown to be up to 10 times more effective than retinol—without any of the harsh side effects like redness, irritation, or dryness.

It’s fast, painless, and surprisingly easy to do at home. Thousands of women are already using it to look 10, 15, or even 20 years younger—and the results speak for themselves.
