Article Icon 1Trump Breaks With Greene Over Epstein Files

President Donald Trump pulled his endorsement of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene late Friday after she backed efforts to release Jeffrey Epstein-related documents.

Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th Congressional District since 2021 and was once one of Trump’s most loyal allies, signed onto a bipartisan push in the House to force the release of unclassified Epstein files—some of which mention Trump by name.

Trump referred to the Georgia Republican as a “ranting lunatic” and pledged to support a primary challenger in 2026.

Greene responded on X on Saturday, saying she was being punished for “defending women who were victims of rape” and trying to expose “rich powerful elites.” The clash comes just days before a House vote on legislation to force full disclosure of Epstein-related files.

Article Icon 1Club Owner Ordered to Pay $66M Over Shooting

A Fulton County judge has ordered the owner of the Buckhead nightclub Elleven45 Lounge to pay more than $66 million in damages to the family of 21-year-old Mariam “Mari” Creighton, who was fatally shot there on Mother’s Day 2024.

The shooting occurred during a fight at the nightclub. Creighton, a student-athlete at Albany State University, was one of two people killed in the incident. The family’s attorneys argued that the lounge owner was negligent for employing security personnel who allowed someone to enter the club with a loaded firearm.

The accused shooter, Karanji Reese, turned himself in to police nearly a month later and has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

After the shooting, a judge permanently shut down the nightclub, declaring it a public nuisance.

Someone in Georgia has won the Mega Millions jackpot of $980 million by matching all six numbers in Friday’s drawing.

The winning ticket was sold at a Publix in Newnan.

The win is now the largest lottery prize in Georgia’s history. The previous state record was set in 2024 after a Powerball ticket sold in Buford secured a $478.2 million jackpot.

We are thrilled to congratulate the largest winner in our state’s history. With every Mega Millions ticket sold in Georgia supporting HOPE and Pre-K, Georgia’s students and families are also big winners,” said Georgia Lottery President and CEO Gretchen Corbin in a statement.
