No. 3 Georgia beat No. 9 Alabama 28-7 in the SEC Championship, avenging an earlier loss to the Crimson Tide and winning its second straight SEC title.

Georgia blocked a punt to set up its first score of the game, and the Bulldogs led 21-0 entering the fourth quarter. Alabama had just 103 yards of total offense at that point.

Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton completed 20 of 26 passes with three touchdowns, while the Georgia defense held Alabama to 3-of-14 on third down and minus-3 yards rushing.

Georgia will likely earn a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff and play in a quarterfinal game on Dec. 31 or Jan. 1.
