Emory University announced that starting in fall 2026, it will offer free tuition to new and returning domestic undergraduate students whose families earn $200,000 or less annually through its new Emory Advantage Plus program.

This initiative builds upon the Emory Advantage program, which began in 2007 to provide financial support to students from lower-income backgrounds.

The university’s undergraduate financial aid commitment is expected to surpass $1 billion over the next four years.

In March, the university increased its tuition from $63,400 to $67,080 for the 2025-26 academic year.

The operation primarily targeted individuals wanted for violent crimes. Among those captured, 60 faced assault charges and 28 were charged with murder, homicide, or manslaughter.

Over 100 of the fugitives were arrested in metro Atlanta.

“Here in Georgia, we aren’t standing idly by,” FBI Atlanta Special Agent in Charge Paul Brown said. “We promise to continue our work to disrupt violent crimes, drug organizations, and human traffickers whose criminal acts devastate families and communities.”
