Clark Atlanta University issued a shelter-in-place order on Thursday after receiving threats.

The incident comes weeks after multiple universities in Georgia experienced active shooter hoax reports on the same night.

Two rivalry matchups highlight today’s Peach State college football slate, with Georgia Tech hosting No. 12 Clemson and No. 6 Georgia traveling to No. 15 Tennessee. Both visiting teams are favored, with Clemson by 2.5 points and Georgia by 3.5.

Georgia Tech is aiming for a 3-0 start against a Clemson team that has struggled early, falling to LSU before narrowly beating Troy. Quarterback Haynes King, sidelined last week with an injury, is cleared to return for the Yellow Jackets.

Georgia looks to improve on a sluggish 28-6 win over Austin Peay. Today marks quarterback Gunner Stockton’s first true road start. Tennessee has been dominant at home, going 21-1 since 2022, with its lone loss to Georgia.

Georgia Tech and Clemson kick off at noon on ESPN, followed by Georgia-Tennessee at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. Georgia Tech has dropped nine straight to Clemson, while Georgia has won eight consecutive games over Tennessee.
