No. 4 Georgia outlasted No. 23 Georgia Tech 16-9 on Friday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, extending the Bulldogs’ win streak in the football rivalry to eight games.

Georgia moved to 11-1 on the season, likely securing a spot in the College Football Playoff. Tech fell to 9-3 and is effectively out of the ACC title and playoff race.

Unlike last year’s eight-overtime thriller, this one was a grind. Georgia’s defense sealed the win with a knocked-down Hail Mary.

Tech was paid $10 million to move the game off campus.
