Braves Turn Season Around—Fast

The Atlanta Braves’ 0-7 start to the season seems a distant memory with the team’s record now around the .500 mark and two of its stars back from injury.

Some analysts think the Braves are in a strong position to make the playoffs and possibly win the NL East. They’re only the fifth team in MLB history to reach .500 after starting 0-7.

On Friday, 2023 National League MVP outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. hit a home run on his first pitch since returning from an ACL injury, and he followed with a second homer on Saturday.

Earlier last week, standout pitcher Spencer Strider returned from a hamstring strain, adding to a lineup already energized by hot hitting rookie catcher Drake Baldwin.

Memorial Day weekend events continue today, as Georgians celebrate the unofficial start to summer with events as varied as a pinball tournament and a sand castle building competition.
