The U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Fulton County, demanding access to ballots, signature envelopes, and other 2020 election records.

The lawsuit claims the county is violating federal law by withholding the records, which the DOJ says are needed to assess compliance with federal election laws.

Fulton County officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The Justice Department filed similar lawsuits against four states—Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Nevada—for failure to produce statewide records.

A 46-year-old woman was severely burned when an unknown assailant poured a corrosive chemical on her near Forsyth Park in Savannah on Wednesday night.

The woman was walking when the attacker surprised her from behind and then fled, police said. There is no known connection between the woman and the attacker, they said.

Authorities released a surveillance image of a person of interest and are working with the FBI to identify the substance used.

The woman remains hospitalized with burns on half her body.

Article Icon 1Falcons Owner: No Changes for Now

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank said he’ll wait until the season’s over to decide on any major shakeup of the team, including any front office or coaching changes.

The Falcons are 4-10 and have no chance of making the playoffs in Raheem Morris’ second year as coach, with fan criticism of Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot growing.

A rare bright spot came on Thursday, when the Falcons edged the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29-28, with Kyle Pitts delivering one of the best performances by a tight end in the past 30 years.

However, the team’s victory celebration was marred when running back Bijan Robinson used a slur during a postgame interview. Robinson later apologized.

Americans lost over $12 billion to fraud and scams last year, and the threat often starts in a place you can’t see.

Companies called “data brokers” crawl public records and the web to collect your personal info: your name, age, address, phone number, and even your relatives’ names. They package this and sell it to anyone, from marketers to scammers, stalkers, or anyone else.

DeleteMe is a hands-free subscription service that removes your data from hundreds of these sites. Their privacy experts handle the opt-out process and monitor the sites all year to repeat removals as needed. Removing this info helps protect you and your family from these risks.
