Article Icon 1Atlanta’s All-Star Game a Hit

Four years after Major League Baseball pulled the All-Star Game from Atlanta over Georgia’s voting laws, the 2025 edition came to town on Tuesday, with the law unchanged and the league mum.

Fans were treated to a thriller, with Philadelphia Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber blasting three home runs in the tie-breaking home run derby, clinching a National League win.

Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 1-2 and scored a run. See the full box score here. Before the game, Acuna showed off an Atlanta-themed pendant he said he designed himself.

The fanfare surrounding this year’s game extended to the Braves’ ballpark and The Battery retail and entertainment district, which have become the envy of pro sports.

Article Icon 1 Unreleased Beyoncé Music Stolen

Atlanta police are hunting for a suspect who broke into a rental SUV belonging to Beyonce’s choreographer and stole unreleased music, set lists, and show plans.

Police have issued an arrest warrant in the case but have not identified a suspect. Officers used tracking software and surveillance footage to investigate.

The theft happened on July 8, just before the pop icon kicked off four shows at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The stolen material included laptops, hard drives, and personal items. Police have not said if the music and other stolen items have been recovered.

Article Icon 1Tropical System May Soak The South

A weak tropical system off Florida’s Atlantic coast may bring heavy rain to Georgia and neighboring states this week, but forecasters say it’s unlikely to become a major storm.

The low-pressure system is expected to cross Florida and enter the Gulf, where warm waters could support further development.

Regardless of whether the system strengthens, residents in Georgia should plan for a soggy stretch ahead.
