Article Icon 1Trump Seeks $6.3M from Fulton County

President Trump seeks $6.3 million in attorney fees from the Fulton County District Attorney’s office after charges in the 2020 election case were dropped in November.

Trump’s lawyers argue in a court filing that a new state law entitles him to recover the money because District Attorney Fani Willis was disqualified from the case for improper conduct. An outside prosecutor subsequently dropped the charges.

The filing includes more than 200 pages showing how Trump spent the seven-figure sum.

Willis’ office has opposed similar reimbursement requests by Trump co-defendants, calling the state law unconstitutional.

Article Icon 1 Hawks Not Done Making Moves?

The Atlanta Hawks’ trade of four‑time All‑Star Trae Young will bring the team another veteran and create salary flexibility should they seek another star player, analysts said.

The deal announced late Wednesday will send Young to Washington for veteran CJ McCollum and sharpshooter Corey Kispert, ending Young’s eight‑year tenure in Atlanta.

Young, 27, who struggled this season with injuries and has only played 10 games, remains one of the league’s elite scorers and playmakers.

He ranks as the Hawks’ career leader in three-pointers and assists, and helped lead the team to the postseason in three of his seasons, including the 2021 Eastern Conference finals.
