Article Icon 1More Mosquitoes Test Positive for West Nile

Mosquitoes trapped at Chastain Park in Atlanta tested positive for West Nile virus, adding to the number of infected mosquitoes detected across Georgia.

A quarter-mile radius around the trap was scheduled for treatment Wednesday and Thursday. The area will be retested afterward.

This marks the second time in recent months that the trap has tested positive for the virus.

Statewide, health officials say mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus have been detected in traps across Chatham, DeKalb, and Fulton counties this year, and Georgia is now entering peak season for the virus.

As of Sept. 8, Georgia has recorded four human cases of West Nile virus in 2026, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday for a $3.1 million improvement project of the pond at Roswell Area Park.

The pond started out as a 1950s farm pond, and the reconstruction was prompted by deteriorating infrastructure. The project, funded by a nearly $180 million bond program, included rebuilding the embankment, adding a new retaining wall, and deepening the pond.

The city will begin to restock the water with 15,000 fish in the upcoming weeks. Bluegill, channel catfish, and largemouth bass are among the species going in.

Visitors are asked to hold off on fishing until the fish population is established, which is expected to happen by late summer or fall 2027.

Article Icon 1Two Goats Returned Home

Tot, a two-week-old goat reported stolen from a Bloomingdale driveway last Saturday, was returned home Thursday.

The goat was dropped off by a man after community members provided tips in response to owner Kimberly Reaves’ public plea for help finding the animal.

A similar incident occurred in Keysville, where Brianna Blount bought a pet goat for her five-year-old son and found it gone the next morning. She reported it stolen to authorities and shared the incident on social media.

The animal was found and returned to the family, not long after the boy was gifted another goat by a stranger. “That was a total shock to me because I’ve never imagined anyone would be so kind to donate something to a complete stranger,” Blount said.

The Pentagon’s Got Their Eye on This Tech

One of the biggest indicators for forward-thinking investors is where the US government puts their money. They move first on the technology they know is going to shape the future.

First, they bet big on jet engines. Then drones. Now? It’s flying cars.  This August, the U.S. Air Force just signed a $142M deal for a flying car company building five-seater fleets. But our nation’s defense can’t stop there. Our nation’s most covert operations need smaller, personal aircrafts. And Doroni, the company positioned to lead the $100B personal eVTOL category, aims to capture this opportunity.

Their flying car, the H1-X opens the skies to all members of the military. Their SOULAI platform is so intuitive, you can pilot their aircraft after 25 hours of training. And its patented ducted fan system is designed to be safer than competitors.

This is your chance to get in at the private stage. Invest in Doroni today and get up to 20% bonus shares.

Up, Up, and A-Way to Get in On This Boom

Flying car company stocks are soaring on Wall Street. Archer went public at $1.7 billion.  EHang IPO’d at $662 million. And Joby raised a whopping $1.6 billion when they went public.

Luckily, 15k+ investors have found an early-stage opportunity to capture this boom: a private-stage company named Doroni.

They’re pioneering the $100B personal aircraft segment with their H1-X, the aircraft FOX Business called “the ‘flying car’ set to revolutionize personal air travel.”

And with Morgan Stanley projecting that the flying car industry will reach $9 trillion by 2050, the timing couldn’t be better.

Now, with 600+ preorders, they’re targeting commercial deliveries for 2028. And earlier this year, they reserved the Nasdaq ticker $DRNI. Invest in Doroni today and get up to 20% bonus shares.
