Article Icon 1Crossover Day Trims Proposals

State lawmakers worked late into Friday night on Crossover Day, the last chance for bills to pass their chamber of origin and remain alive this session.

A state Senate bill to replace voting machines with hand-marked paper ballots failed, as did a proposal to require proof of citizenship for voters.

A scaled-back property tax limitation bill cleared the House after an effort to phase out homestead property taxes failed earlier in the week.

Other bills that crossed over include a ban on cellphones in high schools, a requirement for weapon-detection systems in schools, and a mandate for literacy coaches in early elementary grades.

Article Icon 1 Radio Giant Files for Bankruptcy

Atlanta-based Cumulus Media, one of the nation’s largest radio companies, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization as part of a deal with lenders to eliminate about $600 million in debt.

The company said operations will continue as usual with no impact to employees, partners, or listeners throughout the process.

Cumulus operates more than 390 radio stations across 84 markets, including Atlanta, Savannah, and Macon. The company also syndicates programming nationally through Westwood One.

CEO Mary Berner attributed the filing to persistent industry-wide pressures.

Under the proposed restructuring, the company’s debt would be canceled in exchange for full ownership by lenders, who would also receive $50 million in new convertible notes.

Article Icon 1Green Frog Spawned Restaurant Empire

The next time you dive into the cheddar biscuits at Red Lobster, you can thank a long-closed luncheonette in Waycross called The Green Frog.

Bill Darden was just 19 when he opened the 25-seat diner in 1938 with a motto that promised “service with a hop.”

The restaurant’s success led to a move to Florida, where Darden opened the first Red Lobster in 1968. Later, while working as a General Mills executive, he helped launch Olive Garden in 1982.

The brands were later spun off into restaurant giant Darden Restaurants, named in honor of Darden, who passed away in 1994.

The Green Frog closed in 1981.

The AI Investment Hiding Under the Chip Boom

While headlines focus on chips and data centers, a quieter AI race is unfolding and early investors are already moving in. Big brands aren’t asking who has the flashiest AI model. They’re asking who can turn AI into cleaner decisions and better numbers quarter after quarter. RAD Intel has been building for that second wave from the start.

While most investors chased the obvious names, RAD Intel quietly stacked 5,000%+ valuation growth in 4 years, delivered 2× sales contract growth in 2025, and has multiple recurring 7-figure enterprise contracts under its belt. The platform sits beneath major enterprise marketing budgets across industries like gaming, entertainment, and fashion, helping companies see where the next dollar is most likely to perform before it’s spent.

15,000 investors have already stepped in and $60M+ has been raised while the company is still private, with a reserved Nasdaq ticker $RADI. Shares are $0.85 for now, with a scheduled share price change on March 12 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
