The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that more than $1 billion in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds will be made available to the state of Georgia to help with recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene and Tropical Storm Debby, as well as COVID-19 healthcare costs and hazard mitigation projects.

“This investment will repair and restore critical public infrastructure across Georgia, including schools, public safety facilities, utilities, and community services,” said Karen Evans, performing the duties of FEMA administrator.

$350 million will be used on more than 140 Hurricane Helene and Tropical Storm Debby recovery projects, including repairs for roads, bridges, buildings, and public utilities and debris removal.

$671 million will be allocated for emergency protective measures taken by the state during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joe Crumpton, a Spalding County sheriff’s deputy who died after suffering a medical emergency while driving, which led his vehicle to crash, was honored with a procession earlier this week.

Following the crash, Crumpton was found unconscious and in cardiac arrest. Crumpton was rushed to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, where medical staff performed life-saving efforts for over an hour. He was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported that Crumpton suffered the medical event before his vehicle left the road and collided with another car; no one in the other vehicle was injured.

Crumpton had served with the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office since 2023 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

They will open the season at home on Sept. 5, 2026, in a non-conference game against Tennessee State, a team they’ve never played against.

In August, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) approved a nine-game conference schedule for 2026.

Out of the nine SEC opponents featured on Georgia’s 2026 schedule, three of them made the upcoming College Football Playoffs—Alabama, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss—which begin on Dec. 19.

This method has been vetted by scientists from the University College Cork.

Their studies, conducted on 674 women with deep wrinkles, dark spots, and sagging skin, clearly showed that by simply doing this for 10 seconds in the mirror, they dramatically improved their appearance in under a few weeks.

This odd method is so effective that scientists have deemed it to be 10 times better than retinol, but with none of the side effects.

Just watch the video below and see how easy it is to look 10, 15, or even 20 years younger:
