Article Icon 1$246M High School Campus in Clayton County

Clayton County is moving forward with plans to build a new $246 million North Clayton High School campus on West Fayetteville Road, about a mile away from the school’s current campus, which was built in 1968.

The new campus will include a three-hole golf course, indoor soccer fields, and aviation mechanic training programs.

Funding for the campus will come from Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) bond revenue.

The project is expected to be completed in December 2026.

  Article Icon 1Man Indicted in Beyoncé Music Theft

Kelvin Lanier Evans, 40, has been indicted for stealing hard drives containing unreleased Beyoncé music and other items from a vehicle in July during the singer’s “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Atlanta.

Just days before the shows, Evans allegedly broke into a rental car on Krog Street belonging to Beyoncé’s choreographer, stealing the hard drives along with laptops, designer sunglasses, clothing, and headphones.

Evans faces charges of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft and criminal trespass. He was arrested in Hapeville in August and booked into the Fulton County Jail.

None of the stolen items have been recovered.

The 2025 Little 5 Points Halloween Festival & Parade begins today in Atlanta.

The festival will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and features over 100 local artisan vendors, live music, wrestling, ghost tours, pumpkin smashing, Halloween pet portraits, and more.

The Halloween Parade, the highlight of the event, starts at noon on Sunday on Moreland Avenue.

The festival has been recognized as one of the best Halloween events in the nation by USA Today and the Travel Channel.
