Article Icon 1Jones Eyes End to State Income Tax

Lt. Gov. Burt Jones formed a bipartisan state Senate committee to study the elimination of Georgia’s income tax, with plans to deliver recommendations by Dec. 15.

Jones, who is running for governor, argues that scrapping the tax will keep Georgia economically competitive. He also cited the state government’s $15 billion budget surplus.

The advisory committee includes political heavyweights and will begin work this summer.

Critics of the proposal say that eliminating the tax could lead to higher sales and property taxes and strain funding for education.

Monroe County authorities arrested 15 people tied to a multi-state check fraud operation that targeted businesses and individuals across 15 states.

The alleged scheme resulted in more than $2.1 million in losses. Those arrested face charges ranging from forgery to identity theft.

Authorities say 29 suspects remain at large. The investigation began in March and remains ongoing as law enforcement tracks the network behind the scam.

Article Icon 1Spotted Lanternfly Found in Georgia

An invasive insect known as the spotted lanternfly has been found in Fulton County, raising red flags for Georgia’s agriculture industry.

First detected in the U.S. in 2014, the insects feed on more than 70 plant species, including peaches, grapes, and hardwoods, threatening key crops.

They also leave behind a residue that promotes the growth of black sooty mold.

Wildlife experts at the University of Georgia urge residents to photograph the bug, kill it, and report the sighting to help contain the spread.

Trump’s Reset Can Give Birth To America’s Greatest Era Yet

In 1933, Executive Order 6102 forced everyday Americans to hand over their gold at a fixed rate.

Citizens lost a sizable amount of their hard-earned wealth at the stroke of FDR’s pen.

Now, 92 years later, President Trump has focused his energy on making things right.

His next move has the power to trigger a financial reset that could shift trillions of dollars into the hands of the people.

A provision buried in the U.S. Code Title 31, Section 5117 allows the U.S. Treasury to revalue America’s gold reserves from an outdated $42 per ounce to today’s market price.

That’s a 72x increase!
