Former President Jimmy Carter’s and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s gravesite officially opened to the public on Friday in their hometown of Plains.

Visitors are welcome daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for reflection and remembrance in a memorial garden designed by Rosalynn Carter herself.

Jimmy Carter, the longest-lived president in U.S. history, was laid to rest in January 2025 at the age of 100. Rosalynn Carter passed away in 2023 at the age of 96.

UPS has shut down its Sandy Springs offices and relocated about 500 employees to its Alpharetta location and neighboring headquarters.

The closing comes as part of UPS’s largest network reconfiguration in company history. The plan, which UPS anticipates to save $3.5 billion in costs, includes cutting 20,000 jobs and closing 73 leased and owned properties.

No jobs were lost in the process, UPS said in a statement.
