A 19-year-old Dalton woman continues to face possible deportation even though police now say they made a mistake in arresting her during a traffic stop on May 5.

Dalton police said they confused local college student Ximena Arias-Cristobal’s vehicle for another that made an illegal turn.

Though local charges were dropped, Arias-Cristobal and her father, who brought his family to the U.S. illegally in 2010, remained at an ICE detention center facing possible deportation.
