The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a Lilburn man Friday for allegedly threatening President Trump, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and the White House.

FBI Atlanta confirmed that 25-year-old Aliakbar Mohammed Amin was taken into custody for “threatening communications,” but didn’t disclose details of the threats or how they were made. It’s also unclear what specific charges Amin faces.

An FBI spokesperson said more details about the arrest will be released Monday.

Federal officials announced Georgia residents are eligible for disaster tax relief after Hurricane Helene, extending the tax deadline to May 1 for affected individuals and businesses.

The Georgia Department of Revenue also made a similar announcement, allowing state returns to be filed by May 1. In addition, qualified taxpayers with valid extensions to file 2023 returns by Oct. 15, 2024, also now have until May 1, 2025, to submit returns.

The Internal Revenue Service also delayed the filing deadlines in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts of Florida, Tennessee, and Virginia, based on the number of counties declared disaster areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Officials encourage qualified taxpayers who receive a late filing or payment penalty notice to contact the IRS to have the penalty removed.
