Article Icon 1Kemp Backs China Tariffs

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp praised President Trump’s decision to raise tariffs on China while placing a 90-day pause on higher tariffs for other countries.

Kemp called the approach a smart way to focus pressure on China while avoiding potential broader trade wars, and also a strategy that will allow Georgia to remain a great place to do business.

China is “a big trading partner, but they also have been, as many people say, ‘ripping us off,’” Kemp said in remarks that followed a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Georgia State Patrol post at the governor’s mansion.

The family of 2-year-old A’Layah Joyner called for a review of the state Division of Family & Children Services after last week’s killing of the toddler and three other relatives at a Perry mobile home.

The child’s aunt, Teresa Fears, said DFCS ignored her previous custody request and, afterward, placed the child in foster care and then with a relative. It was at the relative’s home where the four were killed, she said.

Police think the murders were done by someone with a prior relationship to one of the victims, with investigators interviewing an unidentified person of interest. Police said there is no active threat to the Perry community.

Panama City Beach’s police chief called out Metro Atlanta parents, blaming spring break chaos in the Florida town on unsupervised high schoolers from there and Alabama.

Police Chief J.R. Talamantez said most of the spring breakers causing issues are high schoolers from Georgia and Alabama, with some as young as 14 years old. Authorities have made about 700 arrests so far.

Talamantez addressed Georgians directly, saying, “Parents in Georgia, if you’re sending your kids out here unaccompanied, call them back or do not let them come.”

Did you know many multivitamins are made with synthetic ingredients your body can’t properly absorb?

Consumer Lab, a company that has tested over 2,000 health supplements, found that a shocking 32% of multivitamins have defects that prevent your body from getting the nutrition it needs.

That’s why companies like Organixx are paving the way for more bioavailable supplements like Multi-Vita-Maxx—the complete, organic, whole-food multivitamin solution. It comes with a proprietary fermentation process, enzyme-activated minerals, prebiotics, and probiotics, so your body recognizes and absorbs the vitamins as actual food.
